Eltham Road has been closed for nearly three hours today following a crash at 3.41pm on March 2.
Air Ambulance Called to Scene
Ambulances, including the London Air Ambulance, rushed to the accident site. Emergency crews treated an injured child before rushing them to a major trauma centre. The child’s current condition remains unknown.
Traffic Chaos as Bus Routes Diverted
The road closure stretches between Weigall Road and Horn Park Lane. Bus routes 122, 178, and 321 have all been diverted away from the area, causing travel disruption for commuters.
Official Response
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called today (Monday 2) at 3.41pm to reports of a road traffic collision in Eltham Road, SE12. We sent resources including ambulance crews, a clinician in a response car, an incident response officer, an advanced paramedic practitioner and London’s air ambulance. We treated a child at the scene before taking them to a London major trauma centre.”
The Metropolitan Police have been contacted for comment.
