A convicted sex offender has admitted to exposing himself in Bromley and assaulting a police officer following his arrest.
Frank Rawlings, 41, of Newlands Park in Sydenham, was arrested three days after an incident in Bromley on Friday.
He appeared in court on Tuesday and pleaded guilty to exposure with intent to cause alarm or distress and assaulting a police constable. He is due to be sentenced at Bromley Magistrates’ Court in December.
Previous conviction following home intrusion
Rawlings has a previous conviction for trespass with intent to commit a sexual offence after entering a stranger’s home in Croydon in September 2022.
In that incident, a woman who had been asleep on her sofa awoke to find a man she did not know lying beside her, partly undressed, with an arm across her waist.
She shouted at him to leave, and he fled. The woman told investigators she had not been sexually assaulted.
Police linked Rawlings to the property through forensic testing of chewing gum found on the sofa. He received an indefinite hospital order for that offence.
His latest convictions relate to a separate incident in Bromley.
