A 32-year-old man from Hackney has been charged with raping a 16-year-old girl in Hoxton, East London. Ridge Mensah, from Windsor Terrace, appeared at Thames Magistrates’ Court on March 2 and was remanded in custody.

Incident Reported to Police in Early Hours of February 28

The alleged attack was reported to the Metropolitan Police shortly after midnight on February 28. Mensah faces serious charges relating to the incident and is due to appear next at Wood Green Crown Court on March 24.

“A man has been charged with the rape of a 16-year-old in Hoxton. Ridge Mensah (22.07.93) of Windsor Terrace, Hackney, appeared at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 2 March where he was remanded in custody. He will next appear at Wood Green Crown Court on Tuesday, 24 March.”
