Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of an electrical fire at a home in Dennes Lane, in Lydd, Romney Marsh. Four fire engines, a height vehicle and a bulk water carrier were sent to the property. Crews wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets and a fog spike to extinguish the blaze. One person was given first aid for smoke inhalation. The cause is believed to be accidental.
