Teen Motorcyclist Killed in Horror Crash at Poole Roundabout

A lorry driver has been charged following a serious smash on the A20 in Folkestone. Police are still hunting for witnesses to piece together what happened.

Crash Details

Kent Police were called at 8.45pm on Tuesday 3 March 2026 to the coastbound side of the A20 near the Roundhill Tunnel entrance.

A grey Peugeot 308 was stationary when it was hit by a white MAN articulated lorry, both travelling the same way. Paramedics rushed to the scene. The car driver, a man in his 30s, was taken to hospital with multiple injuries but has since been discharged to recover at home.

The lorry driver was also taken in for checks and later arrested. The road reopened around 1.45am the next day.

Lorry Driver Faces Court

On 4 March, Tomasz Antoniewicz, 52, of Braemar Way, Bognor Regis, West Sussex, appeared at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

He was granted bail with conditions and is due back at Canterbury Crown Court on 7 April.

Police Urge Witnesses to Speak Up

Officers investigating want to hear from anyone who witnessed the crash, saw either vehicle beforehand, or has dashcam footage.
