Major Road Closure in Place

A major emergency response is underway in a Wiltshire village this morning after a lorry overturned on the A354 Blandford Road in Coombe Bissett, near Salisbury.

The crash occurred outside The Fox & Goose pub, with the vehicle understood to have been carrying grain, which has since spilled across the carriageway.
The Fox & Goose pub confirmed it will be closed for lunchtime service, citing safety concerns and access restrictions.

“Unfortunately we are going to be closed for lunchtime today,” the pub wrote on social media.
“We’ve had a grain lorry crash outside the pub! The road is closed. We will keep you all updated as to when we are able to open…. Hopefully for evening service!”

Ongoing Investigation

There are no reports at this time of serious injuries, but authorities have not yet confirmed the condition of the driver or any other parties involved.

Wiltshire Police are urging drivers to avoid the area and follow local diversions while recovery crews work to remove the overturned vehicle and clear the grain from the road.

Further updates are expected later today.
