A 25-year-old man has been arrested after a horrific attempt to rape a woman in her 70s in broad daylight. The assault happened in Concord Park, Sheffield, just after 7.20am yesterday.
Emergency services were called immediately as the victim was attacked while walking through the park. She suffered serious injuries and was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
