Man Dies After Being Crushed By Lorry in Guildford
Emergency services are at the scene of a Collision involving a pedestrian and lorry in Guildford this afternoon. A man has sadly died from his injuries.
The incident happened at around 2.30pm in Onslow Street on the southbound carriageway between York Road and Millbrook, towards the Guildford one-way system near to the FRIARY Shopping Centre. A local man in his 40’s was out Christmas shopping when he was struck by a delivery lorry as it reversed into the shopping centre loading bay. Police set up traffic diversions and traffic in the area came to a stand still. stationary traffic tailing back to Ladymead’ at one point. A spokeswoman for South East Coast Ambulance service said “They had sent a number of resources to the scene and The Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance is also attending.
