High Wycombe Man Charged Over Horrific Sex Attacks
Andrew Dent, 54, from Desborough Road, High Wycombe, was charged with a string of chilling offences following a Thames Valley Police probe. On Tuesday, 24th February, Dent was hit with nine counts of rape, five counts of sexual assault by penetration, three counts of intentional strangulation, two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and one count of voyeurism.
Attacks Follow Meetings on Dating Apps
The charges relate to two separate women targeted after meeting Dent on a dating website. The victims were brutally attacked, strangled, and assaulted on different occasions.
- One victim, in her 30s from South Wales, was assaulted in a West Berkshire hotel on 19th June 2024. Intimate photos were taken without her consent during the attack.
- The other, a woman in her 50s from London, suffered her ordeal at an address in Henley-on-Thames on 26th October 2024.
Dent Held on Remand Ahead of Court Date
Dent remains in custody and is set to appear at Reading Crown Court on Wednesday, 4th March. Police continue to investigate as the community reels from the shocking allegations.
