Man Arrested at Scene

Police and paramedics rushed to Prospect Vale, Woolwich at 4:31pm on Friday, March 20, after reports of a stabbing. A man in his 30s was promptly arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and remains in custody.

Victim’s Injuries Confirmed Life-Changing

The victim, a woman, was treated at the scene for a stab wound and a fracture before being rushed to the hospital. Authorities have since confirmed her injuries are life-changing.

Police Call Incident Isolated

Police say the stabbing involved people who know each other, and there are no outstanding suspects. The force is treating the attack as an isolated incident, and enquiries are ongoing.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said:

“Officers and the London Ambulance Service were called at 16:31hrs on Friday, 20 March to reports of a stabbing at a residential address on Prospect Vale, Woolwich. A man in his 30s was arrested at the scene on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm. He remains in police custody.

A woman was treated by paramedics for a stab wound and fracture before being taken to hospital. Her injuries have been confirmed as life-changing. There are no suspects outstanding and police are treating this as an isolated incident. It is believed that victim and suspect are known to each other. Enquiries are ongoing.
