Police are hunting a crucial witness after a brutal assault linked to a road collision in Farnham Common.
Collision on Victoria Road
At around 7:10pm on Tuesday, 10 March 2026, a white Vauxhall van carrying ladders smashed into a man stopped on his bike on Victoria Road. The cyclist, a man in his forties, suffered a serious head injury and needed hospital treatment. Thankfully, he has since been discharged.
Two Slough Men Arrested but Released on Bail
Police arrested two men from Slough over the incident:
- A 22-year-old was charged with assault causing actual bodily harm, attempted murder, dangerous driving, leaving the scene, firearm possession without a certificate, and theft.
- A 43-year-old is suspected of attempted murder, dangerous driving, and failing to stop after the collision.
Both men have been released on conditional bail until 4 June 2026.
Police Plea: E-Scooter Rider and Witnesses Urgently Needed
Detective Constable Louise Sharples made a direct appeal: “We’re desperate to hear from a person on an e-scooter who stopped to help the victim after the crash. If you were there or have dash-cam footage, please come forward – your information could be vital.”
