Chaos erupted in the early hours as eight fire engines and around 60 firefighters scrambled to combat a fierce blaze at a rundown commercial property on Fraser Road, Bexley.
Firefighters Smash Fire Within Two Hours
The London Fire Brigade sprang into action after the emergency call at 2:40am. Crews from Erith, Bexley, Plumstead, and nearby stations battled the flames fiercely. By 4:40am, they had the fire under control, although part of the old building remained scorched.

The cause of the fiery outbreak remains a mystery. A London Fire Brigade spokesperson said, “The cause of the fire is not known at this stage.”
