Two Men Seriously Injured in Horror Head-On Crash on Red Lane, Lightwater
Two men remain in critical condition after a shattering crash between two vehicles in the early hours of Monday morning.
Emergency Services Rush to Red Lane Collision
The smash happened just after 12:30am on November 13th. Surrey Roads Policing, South East Coast Ambulance Service paramedics, and Surrey Fire and Rescue teams were quickly on the scene following reports of a two-car collision on Red Lane, Lightwater.
Fire crews from Camberley and Woking had to use specialist cutting tools to remove the roof of a silver Volkswagen Golf. The vehicle collided head-on with another silver VW Golf, which left the road and ended up on the verge. Several people were trapped inside the wreckage before being freed.
Major Road Closure and Rescue Operation
Red Lane was shut in both directions for nearly seven hours while emergency teams worked tirelessly. The closure allowed fire crews to safely extract the trapped victims and police to conduct a thorough collision investigation.
Serious Injuries and Police Appeal for Witnesses
Surrey Police confirmed both drivers suffered serious injuries. One was rushed to St George’s Hospital in Tooting, and the other taken to Frimley Park Hospital. Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to get in touch.
