Needles Coastguard and Yarmouth Lifeboat tasked to Boat Distress Call
The RNLI’s Yarmouth all weather lifeboat has been called out this morning The crew was launched at just after 11.20 this morning to a distress call in Yarmouth Harbour. The Needles Coastguard rescue have also been tasked to the same incident. A spokeswoman for the Maritime and Coastguard agency said” The UK Coastguard received a Digital selective calling alert (DSC) from a vessel in the Yarmouth Harbour area. The call came into the operations centre at Fareham at 11.27 this morning, we have sent a number of resources to the area to find the vessel.
