Nottinghamshire Police Seek Public’s Help in Hit-and-Run Case Following Nightclub Altercation

Nottinghamshire Police are appealing to the public to help identify a man connected to a hit-and-run incident that left a young man seriously injured. The incident, which occurred in the early hours of Friday, 27 October, started with an altercation outside a local nightclub on Talbot Street.

According to police reports, two groups were involved in a dispute around 2:50am. Following the altercation, one group left the area on foot heading towards Goldsmith Street. It is alleged that members of the other group entered a vehicle and deliberately drove towards the departing individuals. An 18-year-old man was struck by the vehicle, suffering serious injuries to his upper left leg.

The police have conducted initial investigations, resulting in two arrests related to the incident. In a bid to further the investigation, authorities have now released CCTV images of another individual they wish to trace.

Detective Victoria Katilu, leading the investigation, emphasized the severity of the incident and the police’s commitment to securing justice for the victim. The victim in this incident was left with serious injuries as a result of this crash. We are determined to ensure that justice is served and have already made great strides with the investigation,” she stated.

Nottinghamshire Police are urging anyone who recognizes the man in the released image or has any relevant information to come forward. Individuals can contact the police by calling 101 with the incident number 0047 of 27th October 2023, or report anonymously through Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.

The police hope that with the public’s assistance, they can close this case and bring all responsible parties to justice.
