Crash Chaos on Newport Industrial Estate! A person has been rushed to hospital after a smash involving a blue Isle of Wight-registered Seat this Wednesday afternoon.
The collision happened just after 2.30pm at the junction of Hurstake Road on the Newport industrial estate. Police from the joint armed response, roads policing units, and Isle of Wight ambulance crews were quick to the scene.
Driver Shaken but Unharmed
The Seat’s driver escaped without injury but was left shaken up. The other party was taken to St Mary’s Hospital for treatment. Thankfully, despite reportedly rolling over the car’s bonnet, their injuries are not believed to be serious.
Traffic Chaos on Dual Carriageway
Officers moved the damaged vehicle to Premier Ford, but traffic is still tailing back as drivers struggle to get onto the busy dual carriageway near the industrial estate.
