Emergency scramble on early Sunday morning
Emergency services rushed to Brimsdown Railway Station in Enfield just before 2am on Sunday after reports a person was struck by a train. The incident on Green Street triggered a fast response from paramedics, police, and British Transport Police (BTP).
Rail services thrown into turmoil
All rail traffic through Brimsdown was immediately suspended, causing major delays and cancellations on routes between Liverpool Street and Hertford East. Greater Anglia warned passengers to check travel updates and confirmed local bus tickets are being accepted during the disruption.
Investigation underway as victim’s condition unknown
“We were called to Brimsdown station on Sunday, 13 April, following reports of a person being struck by a train. Officers remain at the scene alongside paramedics. The incident is currently being treated as a serious injury on the railway. Enquiries are ongoing,” said a BTP spokesperson.
Emergency teams remain at the scene while investigations continue. The condition of the injured person has not yet been released.
