Police arrest man who made vile terror threats against Portsmouth game

Police have arrested a man after he tweeted over twitter that he was going to harm Portsmouth fans at the forthcoming game being held at Fratton Park this evening. Officers have overnight made an arrested in North Yorkshire. A 22-year-old, from North Allerton, has been arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill. The arrest relates to this post shared on the social media Twitter network on Wednesday Hampshire Constabulary say A man was arrested overnight after threats were put out on social media ahead of tonight’s Portsmouth V Sunderland game at Fratton Park. The 22 year old man, from North Allerton, was arrested in the early hours of this morning on suspicion of making threats to kill. He currently remains in custody. We continue to work with Portsmouth FC and can assure the public that a sufficient policing response will be in place for tonight’s match.
