Police Incident Closes Major Roads on Southsea Sea Front

Clarence Parade, Osborne Road and Avenue De Caen have been closed following an ongoing police incident this lunctime. Vehicles and the public are being diverted away from the scene whilst with the incident. Cordons have been in place and Police tape has been put across the roads with Police cars blocking the way after it is understood that a small explosion took place in a dustbin on Southsea Common. A 100m cordon has been put in place following the explosion near Southsea Tennis Pavillion/Watkins & Faux. Police are advising people in neighbouring properties to stay on the ground floor at the back of their buildings and away from windows.
