Kent Fire and Rescue Service has called to Broad Street in Deal over night following reports of a fire in a flat. Three fire engines attended and crews wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet, two main jets and water from the hydrant to tackle the fire. The road was closed but has now reopened. There were no reported casualties and the cause is being investigated.
