Drama in Seaford Bay: Newhaven RNLI Launch Lifeboats After Emergency Call

Newhaven RNLI sprung into action this afternoon after reports of an incident in Seaford Bay, the stretch of water between Newhaven and Seaford.

Lifeboats Race to the Scene

The inshore lifeboat (ILB) was scrambled first at 12:05pm, followed by the all-weather lifeboat (ALB) at 1:39pm. The local HM Coastguard teams and the Coastguard helicopter joined the operation, making it an all-hands-on-deck rescue effort.

Incident Details Still Under Wraps

Both lifeboats have since returned to base where they were ready to hand over to South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) crews and Coastguard teams on the ground. What exactly happened in the bay remains a mystery, but emergency services are on the case.
