Small Fire breaks out at the Novotel in Liverpool
It is understood that a small fire has broken out at the Novotel on Hanover Street in Liverpool. Hanover Street has been closed by police. Fire and Paramedics are also in the street. The fire alarm from within the building can be heard sounding. Local buses services from the city centre leaving L1 Bus station are diverted down Duke street until further notice. It is not clear where in the hotel the fire has broken out. There is a large emergency service presence on the road. Staff at the Hotel have said :Guests from the hotel are now being allowed back inside. They were evacuated as a precaution
