Life Sentence For Ruthless Killer

Roberts appeared at Mold Crown Court on 5 February and pleaded guilty. On 25 March, he was sentenced to life with a minimum term of 22-and-a-half years.

“Within hours of Angela’s body being discovered, Tristan Roberts was identified and arrested,” said Senior Investigating Officer T/Detective Superintendent Andrew Gibson.

“The Major Incident Team pieced together the final hours of Angela’s life and revealed how Tristan planned the murder for weeks.”

“I commend Angela’s family for their bravery and acknowledge their loss not only of Angela but also of Tristan, who faces a long prison term.”

“Thanks also to the Prestatyn community for their help and patience during the investigation.”

“Angela showed tremendous bravery and love despite the terrifying ordeal. It was vital she remained the focus of this case. Today’s sentence hopefully brings closure and helps her family rebuild.”
