Police are seeking witnesses to an assault that took place in the The Meads Shopping Centre area of Farnborough, just after 4pm on Monday, April 25. The victim, a 16-year-old girl, was sat in the seating area outside Starbucks in the shopping centre, when an unknown man approached her and asked if she was ok. She tried to walk away from him but he followed her all the way to the bus stop outside the Tilly Shilling pub in Victoria Road. He then stroked her face with the back of his hand several times before leaving her. The man is described as an Asian male, in his 40s or 50s, just over 5ft 6ins tall and of skinny build. He had black or brown hair that was slicked back and patchy, with a bald spot at the top of his head, and had a gold tooth on the left side of his mouth. He wore a navy blue trench coat with a large collar, scruffy trainers and was carrying a Sainsbury’s carrier bag. PC Chris Brown, of Aldershot police station, said: “This is a concerning incident that has left the aggrieved feeling very scared and upset.”
