West Yorkshire Police have charged three people with murder in the shocking case of 16-year-old Chloe Watson Dransfield. Chloe died after being found with stab wounds in Austhorpe, Leeds on Saturday, 28 March.

Details of Those Charged

  • Kayla Smith, 18, of Kennerleigh Avenue, Leeds
  • Archie Rycroft, 19, of Middleton Park Road, Leeds
  • A 17-year-old boy (name withheld for legal reasons)

All three have been remanded in custody and are set to appear before Leeds Magistrates’ Court today (Tuesday). All identify as White British.

Other Arrests and Ongoing Investigation

In addition to those charged, another 18-year-old man from Leeds remains in custody on suspicion of murder. Meanwhile, an 18-year-old woman and a 17-year-old boy previously arrested on suspicion of murder have been released on bail pending further enquiries.
