An urgent public appeal has been launched to locate Sergeant Alex Cairnie, a serving soldier based in Tidworth, who has been missing since Sunday morning.
According to military sources and a public notice from The Service Squad, Sergeant Cairnie was last seen leaving camp on the morning of Sunday, 6 July. Since then, there has been no contact, and concerns are growing for his welfare.
Police and Military Appeal for Help
A coordinated search effort is underway involving Hampshire Police, military authorities, and local volunteers. The public is being asked to remain vigilant, especially in the Tidworth and surrounding Wiltshire/Hampshire border area.
Please contact the police if you see him or find anything that seems out of place in your area,” the appeal reads.
Reference should be made to log 214 of 6 July when reporting any sightings or relevant information.
