Thomas Niven, 37, tragically found dead in Coventry last Friday, has left his family shattered. Known as Tom to his loved ones, his body was discovered in a wheelie bin in a park off Daimler Road, sparking a murder investigation that has gripped the city.

Three Arrested and Held Over Murder

West Midlands Police have arrested three suspects in connection with Tom’s murder. A man and woman in their 40s, plus a man in his 20s, were detained in Blackpool on Sunday on suspicion of murder and assisting an offender. All remain in custody as police continue their inquiries.

“Sadly our youngest son, stepson, brother, brother-in-law, nephew and uncle, Tom has been tragically taken away from all who dearly loved him,” the family said.

Detective Chief Inspector Phil Poole of the Major Crime Unit said: “We are continuing to build a picture of what happened. The three people arrested at the weekend remain in custody as inquiries progress.”
