Two HGV Collision within the Dartford Tunnel leaves a Seven Mile Jam

There are long delays on the M25 anti-clockwise approaching Dartford Crossing due to an earlier collision which closed one of the tunnels. The scene has been cleared and both tunnels have now re-opened, however long delays remain in the area and on all approaches.

Journey times on the M25 are an hour longer than normal for this time of day approaching the crossing, with over 7 and a half miles of congestion, back to J4. There are also long delays of over 40 minutes on the A2 westbound approaching the M25. Local roads in Dartford are also heavily congested. It is anticipated that it will take some time for congestion to clear.
