A Warrington man has been slammed behind bars after cops caught him red-handed with cocaine during a massive police operation targeting criminals.
Drug Deal Foiled During Operation Crossbow
Ryan Sleigh, 34, of Bibby Avenue, Warrington, was locked up for 32 months after pleading guilty to possession with intent to supply Class A drugs at Chester Crown Court on Tuesday 3 March.
The drama unfolded on 2 February 2026 during Operation Crossbow, a huge joint effort by Cheshire Police teams including armed response, roads policing, motorcycles, dogs, drones, and the Special Constabulary. Their mission? To snare wanted crooks on Cheshire’s roads and beyond.
Suspicious Swap Sparks Arrest
At around 11am in Park Avenue, Latchford, officers spotted a grey Volkswagen Golf with an unknown woman leaning into the passenger window. Cops witnessed what looked like a hand-to-hand drug deal.
“There’s no doubt that following our bust — and now his prison term — several customers will be going without their drugs.
“Given the stash in his car and the detailed records at his address, it was clear Sleigh was running a high-level operation.”
“He’ll now serve two and a half years behind bars, and I hope he reflects seriously on his life choices.”
