Tragic Early Morning Crash on A228 Claims Young Man’s Life
Just after 5.30am on Saturday, 8 October 2022, a yellow DAF tanker slammed into a pedestrian on the Rochester-bound A228.
The smash happened between Malling Road and Rocfort Road junctions. Emergency crews rushed to the scene, but the man, in his 20s, was sadly pronounced dead.
Police Launch Serious Collision Probe
Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit is on the case. They want anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage to step forward.
