A 28-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man in his 50s was found dead in a Suffolk park last night.

Tragic Discovery in Sparrow’s Nest Gardens

Police raced to Sparrow’s Nest Gardens in Lowestoft, Suffolk, shortly after 10pm on Friday. Officers found the man unconscious and unresponsive at the scene.

Despite urgent efforts by emergency services, the man was pronounced dead. The force has now launched a full murder investigation.

Woman Arrested at the Scene

The woman, arrested at the park on suspicion of murder, is currently in custody at Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre. She is being questioned as the investigation continues.

Police confirmed the incident appears to be isolated, with both parties known to each other. The victim’s family has been informed.

Calls for Witnesses as Post-Mortem Planned

Suffolk Police announced a Home Office post-mortem will take place in due course to determine the exact cause of death.

Officers are urging anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident to come forward. This includes motorists who may have dashcam footage.
