A 21-year-old man has died after being stabbed on Hillingdon Street in Kennington, South London, on Monday night (April 14). Emergency services were called to the scene at around 9.15pm, but despite rapid medical intervention, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

“Our crews treated a man at the scene. Sadly, despite the best efforts of emergency responders, he died,” a spokesperson confirmed.
Ongoing Investigation
The crime scene on Hillingdon Street remains cordoned off, with officers guarding a residential property inside the police tape. A forensic tent has been erected, and investigators were seen entering a block of flats throughout the day.

Detectives have yet to formally identify the victim, and efforts are ongoing to trace the suspect.

Residents in Kennington have expressed shock and sadness, with one witness telling reporters: “We heard shouting and then saw flashing lights. It’s heartbreaking. This is becoming all too common.”
