Six American soldiers killed in the Middle East conflict will be honoured this Saturday at Dover Air Force Base. President Donald Trump will be there, Iowa Rep. Zach Nunn confirmed, to pay respects at the solemn ceremony.
Dignified Transfer: A Heartbreaking Duty for Trump
The dignified transfer is a deeply moving military ritual where the remains of fallen troops are brought home. It’s one of the most solemn duties of a commander-in-chief. Trump will stand alongside grieving families to honour the fallen heroes.
“This Saturday, I will attend the dignified transfer at Dover Air Force Base to honour the brave Americans who were killed in action and stand with their families during this solemn moment,” said Rep. Nunn.
The Fallen: Who Were These Soldiers?
The six soldiers were Army Reservists working logistics — vital roles supplying troops with food and equipment. They died after a deadly drone strike hit a command centre in Port Shuaiba, Kuwait, on Sunday. The attack came just a day after the US and Israel launched their military campaign against Iran.
In retaliation, Iran fired missiles and drones at Israel and Gulf states hosting US forces.

Trump’s Grim Warning Amid Rising Tensions
Trump did not sugarcoat the conflict’s deadly toll, saying: “Sadly, there will likely be more before it ends. That’s the way it is.”
