Scam Alert! Police have released CCTV snaps of a man wanted over a ruthless fraud targeting vulnerable victims in Lancing.
Fraudsters Swipe Thousands in Fake Building Work Scam
The victims were conned out of thousands between August and September after being promised building work at their homes. Instead, crooks drained their bank accounts without a trace.
Stolen Bank Cards Used at Local Shops
Sussex Police revealed the fraudster used victims’ bank cards at several stores, including CEX and the local Post Office in Lancing – all without permission.
Police Hunt Man in CCTV Images
Officers have now launched a public appeal, sharing CCTV images of a man they want to question over the scam. They urge anyone who recognises him or has info to get in touch.
