Pro-Palestine March in London Demands Immediate Gaza Ceasefire

Thousands of pro-Palestine supporters flooded the streets of central London on Saturday, united in their call for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.

Among the sea of protesters, singer Charlotte Church stood at the forefront of the march, her voice amplified by the collective cry for peace. She expressed her unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian people, stating, “We cannot bear to see civilians, children, and women slaughtered.

As the crowd surged through the streets, waving Palestinian flags and brandishing banners that read “stop the war on Gaza” and “ceasefire now,” the Metropolitan Police grappled with the logistical challenge of maintaining order.

The backdrop to this march is the ongoing conflict that erupted after Hamas attacks on southern Israel last October. Approximately 1,200 lives were lost, and over 240 people were kidnapped in those tragic events.

The demonstrators’ chants echoed through the city streets, demanding an end to the violence.

Last week, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak issued a stark warning, emphasising that democracy itself was under threat from extremist forces. He urged citizens to reject divisive messages and stand together.
