Wildfires have engulfed the Val di Susa region near Turin, Italy, burning through an estimated 2,000 hectares of forest. The uncontrolled blazes, fueled by weather conditions, wind, and dry underbrush, have been raging for nearly ten hours, challenging emergency services’ efforts.

Several volunteers, along with squadrons of firefighting have been mobilised to combat the fires. Despite their continuous efforts since the early hours of this morning(Friday 22nd December 2023) the situation remains dire. , a volunteer firefighter from Germagnano near Turin, expressed the relentless nature of their work, stating, “It never ends.”
