Kylie Minogue And Jason Donovan Are Back Together As Neighbours’ Lovers Scott And Charlene For The First Time In More Than 30 Years In New Photos Released From The Show’s Final Episode.

In new photos from the show’s final episode, Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan reunite as Neighbours’ lovers Scott and Charlene for the first time in more than 30 years.
On-set photos show them laughing and hugging, with Minogue back in her character Charlene Mitchell’s mechanic overalls as the Australian soap comes to an end after 37 years on the air.
Jason Donovan reprises his role as her husband Scott Robinson.
Charlene, the feisty mechanic, was frequently seen wearing the practical outfit, which became her calling card among fans.
Minogue tweeted the photos to her 2.2 million followers, writing, “Now we’re back together.”
Meanwhile, Donovan shared a photo of the Ramsay Street street sign, which he and his co-star had signed, as well as a photo of the cover of his script.
“So good to be back with this absolute legend @kylieminogue,” he wrote.
The final scenes of Neighbours, which premiered in 1985 and follows the lives of those who live and work in the fictional Melbourne suburb of Erinsborough, were shot in early June.
The Australian soap is halting production after failing to secure new funding since its broadcaster dropped it earlier this year.
Donovan and Minogue, both 54, played Scott and Charlene until their respective departures in 1989 and 1988.
When their wedding episode first aired in Australia in 1987, it drew more than two million viewers, and it later drew nearly 20 million viewers in the UK in 1988.
Hollywood stars such as Margot Robbie and Liam Hemsworth were also launched by the soap.
Guy Pearce, who began his career as Mike Young in the soap, will also reprise his role for the finale.
They will be joined by Peter O’Brien, who played Shane Ramsay in the first episode, as well as Ian Smith, who played Harold Bishop, Mark Little, who played Joe Mangel, and Paul Keane, who played Des Clarke.
Chris Milligan, who played Kyle Canning in the 2000s, Morgan Baker, who played Callum Rebecchi, Natalie Bassingthwaighte, who played Izzy Hoyland, and James Mason, who played Chris Pappas, are among those who have returned.
