Family Shock: Sophie and Joe Call Time on Marriage
Sue Radford, matriarch of Britain’s biggest family, has revealed a bombshell — her eldest daughter Sophie has split from husband Joe Bradley after a decade of marriage. The couple, who share three children, are no longer together but are committed to co-parenting successfully.
Making It Work for the Kids
Speaking ahead of the new series of 22 Kids & Counting, Sue, 50, said: “They aren’t together anymore, but they are making it work with their three children.” Husband Noel, 55, added the split had been “brewing for a while,” and that Sophie is now happier living solo.
“Sadly, a lot of marriages do break down, and you can’t fix them,” Sue commented. “Sophie couldn’t live like that anymore. She is definitely a lot happier now.”
The episode will mark the first time Sophie and her family have publicly confirmed the end of her marriage.
The Radford Empire: From Family TV to Pie Power
Sue and Noel’s brood is immense: 22 children ranging from 36-year-old Chris to five-year-old Heidie. Despite their size, the Radfords have grown into successful entrepreneurs. Their business ventures include their famous Radford’s Pie Company and a series of lucrative TV and social media deals.
Their combined wealth has nearly tripled to £975,000 as of February 2025. The company TRF21 Limited, involved in media representation, saw a nearly 500% increase in net worth last year.
What’s Next for Sophie?
When asked if Sophie is ready to date again, Sue said her daughter is “in no rush”. “She’s getting into the swing of being a single mum and will find someone new when she’s ready,” revealed Sue. Although the family knows Joe well, they want everyone to be happy in this new chapter.
The Radford clan’s ever-growing empire continues to draw fans and critics alike, but the family insist they’re all about the kids — even when relationships fall apart.
