A 39-year-old woman has been taken into custody after an alleged dog attack in Grantham. The incident occurred on Muston Road yesterday, June 7, just before 6.10pm.

Officers responded to a report of a dog attacking another canine in the road. The owner of the second dog sustained injuries to both hands and was transported to the hospital. Fortunately, her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

The suspect, a resident of Grantham, was later arrested at a property in the town. She is suspected of being in charge of a dog that was dangerously out of control and caused injury. She remains in police custody pending further investigation.

Authorities are currently conducting tests to determine the breed of the dog involved in the attack. The animal remains in custody as part of the ongoing investigation.
