A man has been charged following a serious assault in Trowbridge on Saturday night (26/09).
During the assault, which happened in Castle Street, a man in his 20s suffered facial injuries which required hospital treatment. 
We have since arrested and charged a man in connection with the incident. 
Joshua James, 24, of Green Close, Holt, has been charged with section 18 GBH and remanded in custody. 
He is due to appear at Swindon Magistrates Court this morning. 
A second man – aged in his 20s from Trowbridge – arrested in connection with the incident has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
