Mother Furious as Paedophile Walks Free with Community Service After Raping Her 5-Year-Old
Callum Haycock Avoids Jail for Child Rape
A heartbroken mother blasted the shocking sentence handed to Callum Haycock, 21, from Kidderminster, Worcestershire, who raped her five-year-old daughter. Instead of prison, Haycock walked out of Worcester Crown Court with just a community order and 35 days of rehabilitation.
Haycock was found guilty of raping a child under 13 on October 1. His punishment? A three-year community order, a £200 fine, £2,500 compensation to the victim, and a five-year stint on the Sexual Offenders’ Register. No jail time was given.
‘No Justice’ for Victim, Family’s Life Torn Apart
The victim’s mother, who spoke anonymously to protect her daughter, slammed the sentence as a “f***ing joke.” She said, “I ran out of the court and slammed the door behind me. I see no justice for my daughter in this.”
The family has since launched an appeal at the High Court, desperate for a heavier sentence. She added, “This has ripped our lives apart. We’ve needed counselling, and it’s wrecked our family. It even led to my partner and I splitting up because we couldn’t cope.”
Brave Daughter Shines Through the Darkness
Despite the trauma, the mother praised her daughter’s incredible bravery during the trial. “She gave evidence and I’m immensely proud of her – one of the bravest little girls I’ve ever met.”
Though scarred by the ordeal—bedwetting and difficulties trusting men—her daughter refuses to be broken. “She still smiles every day and gets on with life.”
Compassion Amidst Horror
In a touching moment, the little girl said she wanted to donate the £2,500 compensation to charity, showing kindness despite everything. The family also thanked police and Witness Support for their “amazing” care and dignity during the case.
