The first picture has emerged of the victim, named locally as Michael McDonagh. Friends and family, part of the Irish travelling community, are left heartbroken and stunned. Michael, aged 58, was pinned down by security during a row at Parkdean Resorts before tragically dying at the scene.
Six Arrested After Fatal Fight
Police have arrested six people on suspicion of murder following the incident. The deadly clash broke out in the holiday park’s bar late on Friday night, August 5, at around 10.50pm. Camber Sands’ Lydd Road has been cordoned off while the investigation continues.

Tributes have flooded in for Michael, described as a “popular man” by those who knew him. Family and friends paid emotional homage, with many saying:

Police Promise Thorough Investigation
Detective Superintendent Jon Hull spoke about the ongoing probe: “Our investigation is at a very early stage, but this appears to be an isolated incident with no wider risk of harm.”
