In a devastating turn of events, Palestinian Prisoners Affairs Minister Qadri Abu Bakr lost his life in a car accident on Saturday, as confirmed by local authorities. The chairman of the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs, a position he had held since 2018, passed away at the age of 70. The accident occurred near Jamma’in, south of Nablus, while Abu Bakr was returning from a gathering held in honour of prisoners’ children.
