Man Shot in Leg, Forensics on Scene

Police rushed to reports of a man shot in the leg. The 33-year-old victim, from Sheffield, managed to get to Wheatland Lane, where passersby stopped to help and called emergency services. He was taken to hospital with a non-life-threatening leg injury.

Crime Scene Investigators are combing the area for evidence and conducting house-to-house inquiries. Detectives are also checking CCTV footage to piece together what happened.

Burnt-Out Stolen Car Found Nearby

Minutes after the shooting, a stolen Nissan Navara was found torched on Clayton Road, less than a mile from the scene. Police are appealing to anyone who saw the vehicle abandoned or set on fire to come forward. Dashcam footage from drivers in the area could be crucial.
