Hampshire Police Specials attended a large car meet last night, spread across various locations throughout the county. The event, which attracted numerous car enthusiasts, saw some attendees committing various driving offences, according to a statement released by the Hampshire Specials.
Officers on the ground and aerial units were deployed to monitor the meet, and evidence of the offences was captured from both the air and officers on-site. As a result, a number of Notice of Intended Prosecutions (NIPs) will be sent out to those identified as having breached traffic laws.
Hampshire Police did not specify the exact offences but warned that these gatherings are under increased scrutiny due to concerns about public safety and dangerous driving. The use of aerial surveillance is part of a growing effort to prevent reckless driving at car meets, which have previously led to serious accidents in the region.

Notices of intended prosecutions will be sent to the offenders in the coming days, with penalties likely to follow.
