A Gloucester drug dealer has been jailed for three years after police uncovered cocaine, cannabis and more than £27,000 in criminal property during an investigation.
Santiago Sadiku, 34, of Vauxhall Road, Gloucester, was sentenced at Gloucester Crown Court on Thursday, September 10, after pleading guilty to being concerned in the supply of cocaine and cannabis and possessing £27,036.85 in criminal property.
Police executed a warrant in the Barton area of Gloucester on August 10.
Officers subsequently examined Sadiku’s mobile phone and discovered WhatsApp messages which police said provided evidence that he had been selling cocaine and cannabis.
During searches, officers discovered a yellow JD Sports bag in the loft containing £20,000 in banknotes.
A designer bag found in Sadiku’s bedroom contained a further £4,500 in English banknotes and £20 in Scottish currency, while officers also recovered a plastic bottle containing £2,100 in coins.
Sadiku was sentenced to three years’ imprisonment.
A spokesperson for Gloucester and Forest Local Policing Area said: “We are glad that Sadiku has been taken off the streets and is no longer able to impact our local communities by dealing drugs.
“This case is just another example of how tirelessly we are working to disrupt those who think they can deal drugs in Gloucestershire.”
