Teenager Slashed During Arndale Robbery
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) are urgently calling for public help after a shocking robbery near the Arndale Centre on Sunday night. The incident happened at around 7:30pm on September 22, 2024, in busy Exchange Square.
A 16-year-old boy was left with a minor knife injury to his leg during the attack.
Group of Teens Targeted and Robbed
Initial investigations reveal a gang of teens leaving the Arndale Centre was followed by another group. Two youths were attacked and had their mobile phones, trainers, and a black Canada Goose coat stolen. Victims were left shaken after the violent ordeal.
Police Release CCTV – Nine Men Wanted for Questioning
GMP has now released CCTV images featuring nine males they want to speak to regarding the case. These individuals could hold key information as police ramp up their probe into the brazen crime.
Sergeant Adam Culpan of GMP’s city centre crime team said: “We are appealing to anyone who saw what happened to come forward. The incident happened in a busy area – someone out there will have witnessed something.”
Increased Police Patrols and Support for Victims
To reassure the public, police have boosted patrols in the city centre. Victims are also receiving support as the investigation continues.
