A person is in a life-threatening condition after being found on the tracks at Chancery Lane Underground station yesterday morning. Emergency services were called to the Central Line station shortly before 9 am on Sunday, 6 April 2025.
Emergency Response
British Transport Police (BTP) and London Ambulance Service crews swiftly attended the scene after receiving reports of a casualty on the tracks. The individual was treated at the scene before being transported to the hospital.
A spokesperson for BTP confirmed:
“Officers were called to Chancery Lane Underground station at around 8.59 am yesterday (6 April) following reports of a casualty on the tracks. Officers and paramedics attended, and a person has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. The incident is not thought to be suspicious.”
Transport Disruption
The station was briefly closed following the incident, causing delays on the Central Line during the busy morning commute. Services have since resumed, but Transport for London (TfL) advises passengers to check live updates before traveling.
