Tragedy at Greenhithe: Man Found Dead in Water Near Pier Road

A man’s body was pulled from the water near Pier Road, Greenhithe, this afternoon, with emergency crews confirming his death shortly after recovery.

Emergency Teams Rush to Scene

Kent Police, paramedics, and the Coastguard were scrambled just after 1pm on Wednesday, 2 July. The man was brought ashore but was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police Confirm No Suspicious Circumstances

A Kent Police spokesperson said: “Officers attended along with paramedics and the Coastguard. A man was brought to shore near Pier Road, Greenhithe, and was confirmed deceased shortly afterwards. His next of kin has been informed.”

Authorities have made it clear that the death is not being treated as suspicious. A file is now being prepared for the coroner.
