Three teenagers have been charged with the murder of a man in his 40s following an incident on a Leysdown beach.
The suspects – a 16-year-old girl and two boys aged 14 and 15 – are due to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court this morning.
Police were called to the Warden Bay Road area of Leysdown at around 7:00pm on Sunday, August 10, after reports of an altercation involving a small group of people. Emergency services attended, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The three teenagers were arrested nearby shortly after the incident and taken into custody for questioning.
Kent Police say a large cordon was established on the beach and surrounding area while forensic teams examined the scene.
No further details about the victim have yet been released, but police confirmed his next of kin have been informed.
